Class Teacher: Mrs S Johal

Hi, I am Mrs Johal and I have been part of the Wexham Court Primary School community for over 20 years. Having completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at Brunel University in 2004, my first teaching post started here at Wexham Court Primary School as a newly qualified teacher. During my time at Wexham Court Primary School I have carried out various roles and responsibilities but being a class teacher is what I enjoy the most. I believe the importance of building belonging is key with children, parents and the school community. When parents feel they are part of the school community it helps build stronger relationships and this enables children to also strive. During my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and taking long walks with our dog.

My book recommendations are:

  • Wisp: A Story of hope by Zana Fraillion
  • James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl
  • The Butterfly Lion by Michael Morpurgo
Ruth Miskin

The Laurel Trust
